What we do

Fabric Walling Specialists

Fabric walling is an elegant finish intended to make a room feel beautiful, comfortable and acoustically sound. Our technique is created on-site and tailored to the room itself making our team easily accessible to travel anywhere around the country or beyond to complete your fabric lined room.

Your chosen fabric is applied to a wall, room or space creating a smooth fluidity and tailored look unlike wall panels or a paper-backed fabric.  We meticulously machine stitch drops of fabric together, pattern matching precisely if necessary, creating one piece of fabric per wall.

Fabric lined walls also provide several functional benefits as well as design enhancements.

  • Covers most structural imperfections in a wall’s surface.

  • Improves a room’s acoustical properties.

  • Alters the existing lighting in a room.

  • Applies over almost all types of surfaces including wallpaper, wood paneling, textured paint, and even brick.

  • Softens a room making the room feel cosy.

Do you have a room you would like to see finished in fabric? We have completed work in the following rooms: bedrooms, living rooms, libraries, residential studies, home cinemas, hotels, private members clubs and even luxury yachts.  We work with a wide variety of fabric including velvet, linen, wool and cotton. Plain, patterned and striped.

Our Method

Wall upholstery starts by creating a frame around the perimeter of walls, windows, doors, bulk heads, columns and around any electrical or light fittings. The walls are then covered with a padding in between the frame, that lies behind the fabric. The padding creates a soft to the touch feel and keeps the walls from looking visually flat as well as making the room acoustically sound.

The fabric is then cut and sewn together to create ONE uniform piece. Fabrics with patterns or stripes are carefully matched and stitched to create a visual impact. The fabric is then stretched across the padded walls and stapled to the very edges of the frame, in the corner we pattern match using a batten. We then finish the stapled edge with a decorative braid or double piping, the double piping can be made on request with the same fabric as the upholstered wall fabric.

Fabric Walling Recovery

Do you have a room already upholstered but would like a change of fabric? Our team can carefully dismantle the previous wall upholstery maintaining the original frame where possible. We advise to have the old fabric taken off by someone with experience, as the previous preparation work can most likely be re-used.
