PARTY & MEDIA ROOM CEILING, OXFORDSHIRE
/A fabric ceiling project which not only solved an acoustical issue by hiding the acoustic boarding in fabric but also truly complimented the designers vision and space. Set in such a beautiful part of the world (I could be biased - The Cotswolds is home for me). Working for designers Rose + George alongside J.Rigg Construction and AV Team Homeplay. Watching this space transform over time was truly a feat of engineering.
Covering over 130 square metres of ceiling in 150 metres of fabric. 300 metres of self made double piping. Harriet from Rose + George choose a heavy weighted linen from Zak + Fox for me to take up the 6 metre high scaffold tower. The barn ceiling was split into two halves with 4 large segments to cover. Fabric is stitched into ‘one piece’ and fixed in place to cover each of the 4 segments with the centre apex’s running down the middle completed last.
