Study Walls In Rosa Bernal Fabric

I was delighted when Kate Guinness Designs got in touch after our initial meeting last July to discuss covering the walls of a study in a printed linen called Sevilla by The Rosa Bernal Collection.

For the study Kate asked me to use the ‘clean edge method’ of stretched fabric walling which meant there was no need for a braid or piping at the end to finish the wall; the fabric is neatly tucked into a hidden system that frames the wall edges.

On this project I stretched and fixed the fabric onto a con-caved wall following the lines of the study. Slightly more challenging yet but nonetheless very effective was to pattern-match three cupboard doors to blend into the room seamlessly. Kate also choose clear electrical plate facings which were covered in fabric made to pattern match against the wall, hidden and camouflaged.
