Created for designer Cameron Kimber when we were based in Sydney. The walls of his bedroom were lined in a blue printed lightweight cotton using the modern method of wall upholstery which gives a clean finish, no need to hide staples with a braid or piping. Pelmet and headboard were also custom made to match the room along with the pair of antique chairs.
The Textile Wall Company works with the UKs top Interior Designers and Fabric Houses specialising in wall upholstery, a unique skill where fabric is stitched and applied over a padded wall. Wall upholstery delivers a luxurious finish as an alternative to wall paper or paint.
TRADITIONAL
With traditional wall upholstery, the fabric is stapled and a custom trim is used to cover the staples. There are varied trim choices from a flat trim made of fabric, a double or single welt, a gimp or tape trim, a custom wood filet and more.
